Here at Frogmary Green Farm, our overall farming aim is to produce food efficiently while still being mindful of our environment.
Arable
At Frogmary Green Farm we grow 250 acres of potatoes in Somerset and Dorset with the aim of producing quality main crop varieties, to supply supermarkets. 180 acres of maize is grown on contract for local dairy farmers with a further 35 acres of grass leys available for silage.
We are part of both Entry Level & Higher Level Environmental Stewardship Schemes which allows us, among a variety of benefits, to retain margins around fields to create wildlife habitats which can work in association with our farming.
Chickens
We produce our chickens to the Freedom Food standard which is backed by the RSPCA. This means our chickens are stocked less densely, have plenty of natural light, have perches and bales to stand on, CDs and maize cobs to peck at (keeping the chickens interested & active). We use the chicken litter on our land to reduce the need for prilled fertiliser.

We are able to provide a variety of arable contracting services including:

- Potatoes – seed sourcing, planting, field walking, harvesting, grading, storage and marketing
