2017 – What a year!

Unbelievably, we're now in December and I'm trying to put 2017 into words!

The year started with the construction of our beautiful outdoor classroom quickly followed by spring cultivations and maize drilling, silaging, wholecrop, combining and crimping grain. We continued with harvesting maize and drilling autumn crops into December, which brought lots of Christmas bookings in our function rooms...and somehow, I managed to fit in three triathlons too! The year seems to have passed by very quickly.

2017 was host to our first EASTER FAYRE with an Easter egg trail, face painting, chicks and lambs for the younger audience, a dog show and our food hall with plenty of refreshments and a tea room for the mums and dads.

This year OPEN FARM SUNDAY, part of a national day where farms open up for anyone to visit, was on Sunday 11th June with many activities for the whole family from our ABN feeds, cows and calves, chicks and loads of machinery and refreshments.

Our SUMMER BBQ followed in June...and what a lovely sunny warm evening we had with live music, tree climbing and zip wire not forgetting plenty of food and drink - as always! Finally this year, at the end of October. we held our Open Gardens with a rather blustery Sunday afternoon we had a wonderful attendance with an Autumn trail for children, another wonderful dog show, food hall and tea rooms which quickly became a welcome area for all to warm up!

We've had a great year and have thoroughly enjoyed welcoming all the visitors to Frogmary Green Farm, whether for one of our events, cookery courses, conferences or school visits. We look forward to welcoming many more of you in 2018

Wishing you all a joyful Christmas and all the very best for 2018
