Frogmary's Summer Party - Save the Date!

Here comes Summer!

Posted: June 25, 2018

The success of Open Farm Sunday grows year on year. We had our largest number of visitors this year with close to 1,800 people on the farm. The number of host farms was 358 with a total of 270,000 visitors across the UK.

We hope you had an enjoyable day and maybe discovered something you didn’t know before. Thank you to all the local businesses who came along and to our team here. We couldn’t do it without you all! It's always so great to hear positive comments about the farm from visitors. Thank you to all who visited.

Open Farm Sunday is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the farming industry and the advances that are taking place to ensure sustainable and environmentally friendly farming practices. Everyone who takes part in Open Farm Sunday believes that sharing this knowledge is hugely important and we do our best to create a fun and educational day for the next generation of British farmers!

Let us know what you thought of your visit. Head to the Open Farm Sunday website and complete the visitor survey.

After such a wet and cold spring, summer seemed to start immediately from mid-April and with it came the daunting task of completing a gruelling list of jobs in a reduced amount of time. Thankfully, with the long dry spell and the many long hours that were put in by the team, we slowly got through the jobs and completed fertilising, spraying, ground cultivations, maize drilling, spreading digestate and the first grass cutting! Many thanks, as always, to our dedicated team for all their hard work. Onwards and upwards through the summer months now.
