We’re Nick and Claire Bragg,
we farm 800 acres in
Farmers just get on with their work, seven days a week, 365 days a year, without seeing too many other people. So why do we welcome schools onto our farm and why do we want to throw open our gates to even more visitors? It’s food for thought…
At Frogmary Green Farm, we grow grass, cereals, maize and fodder beet to feed an AD (anaerobic digester) plant. Along with these crops we also rear chickens. We produce our chickens to the RSPCA Freedom Food welfare standards.
We have a huge respect for the natural environment and we’re working hard to protect and enhance it. We’ve created two ponds with wildlife areas, planted an arboretum and we generate our own heat with our biomass woodchip boilers, create electricity through roof mounted PV (photovoltaic) panels and our crops go to an on-site AD plant which produces gas which is pumped back into the grid.
Frogmary Green Farm is a successful, and growing, farm business which offers a comprehensive contracting service to other farmers in the region.
We’d love to show you around Frogmary Green Farm; we’re sure it will give you food for thought.
